How the Call-Out Fee Calculator Works
The calculator combines three main travel-cost components: fuel, vehicle maintenance and wear, and the value of time spent driving. The result is rounded up to the nearest rand to give you a practical starting figure.
1. Round-Trip Distance
Enter the total distance you expect to travel to the customer and back. If your route is 15 km each way, enter 30 km as the round-trip distance.
2. Fuel Price Per Litre
Adjust the fuel price to match the petrol or diesel price you are using for your business vehicle. Fuel prices change, so updating this value can help keep your estimate relevant.
3. Vehicle Consumption
Enter the vehicle’s approximate fuel consumption in litres per 100 km. A vehicle using 10 litres per 100 km will use more fuel over the same journey than a vehicle using 7 litres per 100 km.
4. Target Hourly Labour Rate
